Famous for its association with the Royal Welsh Showground.Stand on the bridge for a spectacular view of the River Wye. Well worth a walk around.
Brecon
Home to Pen y Fan mountain and the Brecon Jazz Festival. There are lots of little shops and a reasonably sized supermarket.
Hay on Wye
On the Welsh-English border. Home to the Hay Festival and Hay Food Festival. It is famous as the town of books.
Brecon Beacons
Loved by walkers, cyclists and drivers alike. Breathtakingly beautiful scenery.
Hereford
The nearest city. It has a racecourse, shopping area and a cider museum, to name but a few of the attractions.
The Golden Valley
Drive through stunning small villages and drink in the views, or drink in the pub - there are lots to choose from!
Cardiff
Shopping for the serious shopper. The newly opened St David's Centre has every type of shop you can think of. Why not visit the Dr Who exhibition while you're there or wander around Cardiff Bay? St Fagans Museum is a great day out and completely free of charge. (There is a small charge for the car park.)
Swansea
Also great for shopping. Swansea Museum is a must! Don't forget that all museums in Wales offer free entry.
